If you turn off traction control, make sure you know your car before you try anything! People need to practice in an empty parking lot before they try to show off.

CAT scale? Like for commercial trucks and heavy equipment?
I would think that scale is made to measure weights at a higher order of magnitude than a Mustang, and is less likely to be accurate in the range we want.

Does CJ Pony Parts not know anyone with a corner weight scale?
If they weighed their cars that way, I'd be more satisfied with the accuracy and precision of their numbers.

...So, people could be testing their S650s prematurely, then having the break-in limiter switch off in time for their "butt dyno" testing?
If that's the case, someone needs to test their S650 with more miles on it, after they've gone "Woohoo, this is fast!"

It's also possible that the S650 feels fast due to having a better throttle map in the ECU.

Someone threw a broken in DH on the dyno- 6 speed car- and it put down 418 to the wheels

I think people are searching for excuses / before the car launched everyone had these pie in the sky expectations - saw people predicting .3 seconds faster then an S550 A10 car- and when they all started running mid 12s- the excuses started

The only S550s to break into 11s were hero runs
S650 reduces power during break in
weather

Whats crazy to me- is outside of a GT350 vs DH where the DH got walked

I see no videos of S650 vs S550 except one where the S650 gets walked (A10s)

That's what I got from my stock 2020 GT, PP1, 6-speed car right after break-in.

So with the Shady Pony rated 40hp more than my car, 418 at the wheels sounds okay-ish, but disappointing.

I remember in the late 1990s Ford customers dyno tested their 32v Mustang Cobras and kept getting results that weren't consistent with the rated 320hp at the flywheel. They ended up having a recall to replace some parts, then took a break from building that engine for the 2000 model year. The last 2 years of the NA 32v Cobras (2001, 2002) they apparently made the rated power right out of the box.
EDIT: 1996 through '98, the SVT Cobra was rated 305hp and nobody seemed to have a problem with it. For the 1999 facelift the engine was rated 320hp but 0-60 got slower and dyno readings went down, and customers got pretty mad.

I wonder if Ford is going to repeat that fiasco with the Gen IV Coyote.
