DVR'd. I'll see if I can record it and post it here. I bet it breaks the previous record.

What was the previous record?
According to that article a few posts above, it's $1.3M. Optimistic I know.

From the article:
The first is the 1967 Ford Shelby GT500 Super Snake Fastback. It hit the auction block in May 2013, topping out at a $1.3 million bid, making it the most valuable Mustang ever to be sold at auction.

Taking the second spot is the 1967 Ford Mustang Eleanor fastback coupe from the movie “Gone in 60 Seconds.” This '67 'Stang had a $1.07 million price tag, and it has been the inspiration for dozens of replicas.

Coming in third is the 1965 Ford Shelby GTR350R fastback. This particular car was one of only 34 race-prepared versions of the model and went for $990,000 back in August 2012. The Mustang racked up 4,900 miles in its short-lived competition career.

A 1969 Ford Shelby GT500 convertible is good for the fourth place spot, eventually selling for $742,000 at a Barrett-Jackson event in August 2008. This Mustang was owned by Carroll Shelby himself and was one of two 1960s-era cars that Shelby dubbed great enough to own as a personal car.

The fifth spot goes to a 2007 Ford Shelby GT500 Mustang coupe No. 001. This was the very first production unit of the 2007 Shelby GT500 model. At the time, it was the fastest production Mustang to date, making 500 hp and 450 lb-ft of torque. That explains the $648,000 price.

The 1960s-era Mustang trend continues with a 1969 Ford Mustang Boss 429 Sportsroof coupe, good for $605,000. It's one of the initial batch of 50 Mustangs built with the rare 820-S NASCAR stock-car race engine.

A 2007 Ford Shelby GT Mustang Couple slides into the seventh spot with its $600,000 top bid. This particular Mustang was based on the limited-edition Shelby GT-H that Ford and Shelby built for Hertz in 2006. This particular model featured a five-speed manual transmission rather than the traditional automatic transmissions that went into the rental cars. Proceeds for this car went to benefit the Carroll Shelby Children's Foundation.

The eighth, ninth and tenth spots went to the 2008 For Mustang Shelby GT500KR coupe selling for $550,000; a 1969 Ford Mustang Boss 429 Sportsroof coupe, also selling for $550,000; and, finally, the 1965 Ford Shelby GT350 Supercharged fastback going for a whopping $528,000.

Scottsdale time is 6:37, so I assume it will cross the block about an hour from now.

If it's pre-production, who knows how much it will go for... It could be one of the popular media cars. I say $350,000 for a prototype and $175,000 for VIN #1.

Dave P. was just being interviewed on Fox in front of the car, really cool seeing it on tv. It'll cross the block in about 15 mins they said.

It was cool to see but that a letdown it didn't go for more. The Z28 sold for 650K.

Just watched it on the DVR. This is one handsome car. DIB looks sick, might be my front runner on color. Did the headlights/tri bar LEDs look bluer than people thought? Is that the stock look I wonder.... Looked good with blue car.

Weird he closed the bidding almost immediately after it hit 300k.
