I think he s saying the Brembo cars can t even order a donut spare from Ford , they don t fit.
Thus the AA popularity.
Did not know they sold the spare at all, for any of the cars.

What are you talking about
I meant ford shouldve gave the PP pack cars w Brembo brakes a real donut spare that would clear there brakes instead of telling customers if you get a flat in front use the spare only n rear and switch front and back tire on same side for spare tire.

Yes they did, dealer option -> $500 option for non PP cars.... but ford donut spare wont clear brembo brakes.

Lost me,11" rear wheel will not fit the front ... no Mustangs has a spare that I'm aware of, not an expert on donuts to be clear.

The spare donut tire kit that ford sells via dealer and is aftermarket on LMR and such is for all non PP cars w 4 piston brakes.

As posted, no Mustang comes with a spare, AND I THINK other late model cars do either. Want to expand on that F & R swap deal, the above is settled?

Thought outside the box and purchased this: 3.7” min, I have 4 1/8” clearance with the jacking rails. Any scissor jack that low seems really sketchy. Listed as a motorcycle jack.

Just got the notice on my dash that my PP kit is now out of date  so I've been scouring these threads.

Have you tried this out yet? I looked on their site and it states it has an 1100 lb capacity. I assume this is ok to lift one corner???🤔 I like the idea of this large flat base for support. I better do some measuring since my car is lowered, too! **Just did. 4" behind the front...I'll have to carry around a piece of 2x10 or something just in case if I get this.

I had looked around for a PP1 front wheel, but the prices at the salvage yards are ridiculous! I thought about putting on a 265/40/19 tire that way it would be right in the middle of the stock 255 & 275.

So in my haste, or short sightedness, should have completely deflated a tire to measure clearance. With jacking rail, there’s like 3.69” of clearance, like a smidge too tall. 3.5” min height would be the way to go.

There‘s another model but not on Amazon that fits that bill, but it’s more than double https://www.jpcycles.com/product/drag-specialties-center-jack-scissor-lift-stand?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=PLA-Drag Specialties-Products&utm_id=google_10878743678_147313610316_652101736944_aud-1335249335460:pla-1987257497462_c__912720_EAIaIQobChMIg-KOzqC7_wIV8hZlCh1P_wdzEAQYHSABEgLvF_D_BwE&utm_term=1987257497462&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIg-KOzqC7_wIV8hZlCh1P_wdzEAQYHSABEgLvF_D_BwE&sku_id=912720

3.5” min height.

I may still keep this, but only because I have a super low profile, stupidly overpriced aluminum scissor jack made to lift Wilson Audio speakers. It’ll lift the rail to fit the jack I bought. Only 6” max height so not enough for a tire change.

Its the same as this https://www.calcarcover.com/product...MIkd_Eof-6_wIVjyyzAB1qoQBIEAQYDyABEgIKRfD_BwE

but made for Wilson, with a wide flat top, and they charge 4x the price (mine was gifted to me).

Ford could contract with AA to buy their wheels, tack on $100, sell them as an option, and everyone makes $$ (except us, the customer but at least we then have a Ford spare tire).

Did not think this was a good idea when I first read the post, frankly.

There is if not obvious a big difference bike/car/speakers ... a few thousand pounds :computerrage:

Keep in mind you’re only lifting one corner for a limited time, just to swap wheels, and not lifting 3800#. Do you really think the cheap scissor jacks are rated for the gross weight of the car? I’ve already tried the jack out in my garage, and it lifted fairly smoothly with a ratchet wrench.

If you like it, that is all that counts, not something I would have or consider.
