Give me a fxck’n break. The Ford Performance School was basically running a pre Mach 1 out of the Gt’s for the last several years. Anybody that drove both the 350 and the prepped Gt at either of the school locations could tell the difference between the two cars immediately. The first place it came out is going down the back straight at Charlotte and hitt’n the brakes at 135-140. The Gt’s with brand new sport cup 2’s didn’t come close to the 350’s with seasoned tires. I have a Gt with all the goodies, it doesn’t come close to my 350’s. This stuff reminds me of guys arguing how a small block would always match up to a big block with the same hp.
Yes, I did. I thought the GT was a piece of crap.

You have a stock 350? Sure..
Yes, 2 of them. A 350R base and a 350R electronics. Ill put either of them up against your mach 1. Winner takes 20k. No mods.

Daytona, 2nd weekend in December.

Here is the main thing. I provided evidence. You didn't find it sufficient and came up with something else to refute my evidence. At this point no one cares anymore. You two will never hear from me again. I ll move on

Its ok, you wouldn't qualify for group 1 anyway (pros\racers).

Push comes to.shove, it would have been an easy 20k.

Now go back to your keyboard commando smack talk.

Edit:
It sure would be a quiet ride home.

And the original 350 hater makes an appearance, imagine that. Your so brilliant I’m surprised your slumming here on this forum and not hanging out on The Dupont Registry enlightening everyone with your brilliance. I’m surprised you haven‘t started producing performance vehicles, the knowledge runs so desp.
lol I was going to say the same thing. This guy is so angry - just look at his posts -spends so much time complaining about a car he doesn’t own. Totally radicalized - I bet he loves talking politics…and when he does, people start looking around nervously, saying to themselves, “Get away from me, weirdo!”.

If that's his mach 1 it's pretty...

having driven both the mach was faster than my non R 350..... but the majority of that was in the CUP 2s and i would still prefer to own my car and thus i still do.

Found a 2016 Shelby 350 for sale for 47K USD, 49K miles, no exterior or interior damage, good service history, 3 previous owners, has some upgrades that I was planning on putting in the cars anyways, technology package with leather seats, and it's yellow with black stripes.

The dealership is offering a 36K/36-month warranty for 3.2k USD, should I get this?

And from what I described, does this car seem like a good deal? Anything I should look out for?

I mostly want to use this car for joy rides, current Mustang I drive now I drive 6k/8k miles a year, resale value isn't too important to me, only longevity

I posted the same thing on r/Mustang on Reddit, got a few yes's, some no's

I would definitely read the specifics of the warranty they are offering you, you would be better off trying to get a 3rd party that has the coverage you will need, but the best would be to get the Ford CPO warranty which you can get since the car is under 80k miles. That is a great price in the current market for a GT350! Here is a link that explain the Ford CPO warrenty.

I went to the GT350 track attack and drove the race prepped GTs. They sucked compared to the GT350 - period. I am going to the GT500 track attack in Sept. I am not hanging around for day 2 in the GT. The Shelby is so much more car.

Between the 3 owners and Oil consumption problems with some GT350 engines I would go through those service records with a fine tooth comb.
If any service time is undocumented or the records are not detailed I would insist on that warranty be included with the purchase price.

Acceleration not as good. Magnetic ride - could tell a huge difference in body roll, etc. Transmission smoother in the GT350 (tremor is hard to beat), the hood looks like crap from the driver side. The brakes aren't as good. GT350 turn in was better. Overall - Shelby was more fun. It is too bad I could not purchase a second day in the Shelby. Go to Spring Mountain for the Corvette, Caddy schools, etc - you spend the whole class in the same car. So, that is why I am doing 1 day - GT500 school.

I'm thinking both as this entire thread has turned to crap. OP was looking to us for an opinion on a specific car. We gave him those opinions and he has yet to let us know what he is doing. The rest of this is pointless drivel. The Shelby 2015-20' GT350 will go down in history as one of the finest performance cars ever made. Yes, it had its share of issues as any ultra high performance car would have. I know that one day i'd like to have one, even if only for a short time.
Apparently lots of folks like a lot of these type cars for only a short time. Then off they go chasing the next “thing”.

Faster in what way? 0-60 or lap times? Everyone knows the voodoo doesn't wake up until about 3500 RPM
