I've been looking at the Project 6GR Ten wheels in both 19 and 20 staggered and square. My dilemma is I want to run all season tires and would really like either of the Michelin Pilot options. There are almost no all season tires, Michelin or otherwise, that will fit the staggered setup other than the new Pilot Sport All Season 4 in a 305/35/20 and 285/30/20 setup. I've seen one car with this wheel/tire size setup but that is it.

My concerns are
1. Is the 285/30/20 in the front is going to give a very rough ride compared to my current 255/40/19?
2. The front and rear tires are more than 1 1/2" different in size (28.4 rear, 26.8 front) and I'm not sure if the stance will look odd, and
3. The profile of the front and rear tire are going to be much different and I'm not sure how that will look.

Does anyone have any experience with this or a similar setup? Or does anyone have any other all season tire setup suggestions (I could run a Pilot All Season 4 in the back and Pilot A/S3+ front which would give me a 275/35/20 for the front), but everything I've read says it's a bad idea to run different front and rear tires. The other option I see now is to go with the square setup of 19x10 on 285/35/19 or 20x10 on 275/35/20.

FYI, I have a 2019 GT PP1 with Steeda Sport Progressive lowering springs.

I'm going to say the rear tire size doesn't work, 6G Mustangs are designed around a 27" tall wheel so I believe the correct size (staggered) is a 305/30/20 in back.

Interesting. I’ve seen people running both 305/30/20 and 305/35/20 in the back and say they don’t have any rubbing. I’d rather have a 305/35/19, but again, I just can’t find it in an all season tire with matching front set.

Why an all season? Does Georgia have 4 seasons? (do you get snow/ice?)

A good quality summer tire (MP4S) will serve you well in the cooler months if all you typically see is rain. If you intend to drive in any snow/ice, definitely stick to the all-season.

Im not expecting to drive in snow, but we do get below freezing at times and I don’t want to be concerned with slipping tires. Since it’s my daily driver I want to be able to get out and go anytime I want and not be concerned about the weather. Since I don’t track the car, the difference in a summer tire doesn’t offer me much benefit, plus they are generally more expensive.

There are several tire size setups you can run with these wheels.

I just ordered these wheels this morning. I got the 20x10 front and 20x11 rear. Tires are 265/35 front 305/30 rear. This gives a matching sidewall height and tire diameter which i prefer for looks.

Bridgestone makes a great all season tire in these sizes the Potenza re980 a/s. Available at discount tire and firestone.

Also check out https://tiresize.com/calculator/ to play with tire diameter and what size tires are optimal for whatever size wheels you get.

Thank you for the information on other options. I've been calculating sizes on different setups, but the limiting factor has been what tires are available in each size. I've about settled on the 305/35 and 285/30 setup, but I can always switch it up if I don't like it.

You can get Cooper Zeon RS3-G1 in 265/35/20 and 305/35/20 or G-Force Comp-2 A/S in 285/35/20 and 305/35/20 or Pilot Sport A/S 4 in 285/30/20 and 305/35/20.

I'm in GA also. I agree it gets cold enough that I don't like running summer tires in the winter either. My solution was to keep my original wheels and swap as needed.

I run 275/35R20 and 305/35R20 Mickey Thompson Street Comps. They are a big improvement over the other Mickey Thompson. They hook decently and perform well in the wet. If Michelin had the PS4S in stock in these sizes, when I was buying new tires, I would have bought them. Sorry....This doesn't help, as you want to run All Season.

That 305/35R20 rear will have your rear tire taller by 6.4% from your 285/30R20 front tires. Fronts would be 26.7" tall and rears would be 28.4 tall. That is a pretty significant difference...and will probably show a lot of wheel gap in the front fender without lowering.

Well, I went ahead with the original idea, and I’m happy with the results.

Here are the specs:
Project 6GR Tens with Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4
Front: 20x10 ET35, 285/30, 53.8lbs (8.4lbs less that stock PP1 setup)
Rear: 20x11 ET50, 305/35, 56.6lbs (9.2lbs less than stock PP1 setup)
Suspension: Steeda Sport Progressive Lowering Springs (1.125” front, 1” rear drop)
Results: No rubbing front or rear, tires don’t poke, no significant change in ride comfort.

Overall I’m very happy with the setup. I’m planning to add some some RokBlokz to prevent damage from debris since the tires do stick out more than stock.

I have steeda progressive sports also...mind me asking how this setup rides now? I know my springs settled a little more, and I'm hunting for 20in wheels and tires now. I have a set on order, but going to switch as they are on back order.
Thank you in advance!

It rides well. A little more stiff than stock, but not uncomfortable. I had the Bilstein B6 shocks and struts which I liked better than the stock dampers.

Looks like I'm going to get the P6GR Fives with the same tire sizes. Any rubbing at all since your springs settled? Mine have settled alot and are definitely lower than advertised. How do you like the all seasons, do they hook?
