Did some searching and wasn't able to find much. Anybody running these for AutoX? Looks like they are the successor to the 595RS-RR's. I am looking at a 275/35/19 as that is the largest size they make and I understand these are slightly oversized so should be close to a 285. Compared to an RE-71R the price is certainly right. I know of some other local autoX'ers who ran the older 595RS-RR's and they said you can't beat them for the money. I am hoping the new PRO's are an improvement.

I am looking to combine them with a set of 19x10 SVE PP2 replica wheels for autoX duty only.

Thank you for posting this. I was about to pull the trigger on some re71's but at $100 per tire cheaper Im reconsidering that. Gonna really look at the federals.

They're very hard to find, and won't be as nice to drive or as fast as the RE71R (1-2s slower on a typical autocross course). For the price, hard to beat, though.

As long as they are 1-2s faster than the current Pilot Sport 4S's I'm currently, on, they'll work.

But yes, they aren't easy to find, but check out Phil's Tire Service. The carry them and have the best prices I've seen. https://philstireservice.com/shop/federal-595rs-pro/

Interesting tire. I wonder how they do in the rain. Prob pretty terrible. RE71 level I would think. Looks like no tax and no shipping fees. Pretty good deal on 200tw tire.

This I doubt. Maybe 0.5-1 at best. Still good value and you won't feel bad about beating on them.

At $400 less per set it's awfully tempting to give them a shot. Might be a good way to get started on a 200tw before making the jump to an re71. I've read where these can greese over and chunk when exposed to track conditions but no negatives when autocrossing other than being slower than a Bridgestone. I'll keep searching but I'm tempted to give them a shot for the price

Well, I pulled the trigger on a set of 275/35's. Next autoX for me is 2/15 so I hope they arrive before then.

I've run them both at autocrosses and hpde's. Definitely not up there with the fast 200tw tires at autocross, but a decent tire none the less. Hard to judge on track since I haven't run into another instructor running an S550. I've run some decent lap times at VIR, and the tires appear to hold up well. No chunking ever and not what I'd call especially greasy after 20-30 minutes on track.

That's funny I have one that day too. Hope they work out well for you. Please post up impressions when you get them. Also what site did you purchase from?

Please keep us posted on how they want I plan to get a set of this and put them on the stock PP wheels for a track event however I worry that 275 on the 9" fronts may be a bit on the dangerous side. I plan to use them for a track day on a local 3km track.

These particular 275 are almost certainly too wide for a 9" wheel. They run more like a 295 in terms of tread and section widths.

I highly doubt they will actually be faster - with a good driver PS4S is about second slower on 30-40 second course than RE71R and actually faster in damp conditions. They're just as expensive as REs though.
