Hi all, I found a 10/16 build GT350 that I'm interested in buying. I guess that means it has been sitting on the lot or in the showroom for 8 months now.

Any concerns I should have? Like, early MY17 build issues?

How about any recalls?

Mine is a 17 built in Sept. 16. Oil line recall performed in March 17 purchased as recall was performed. 2,200 hard driven miles on it now. Zero issues. Fingers crossed that continues.

If nothing else, they should be willing to deal with you on it.

Should be fine. The car would have had the recall, but that work has to be done b4 the unit can be sold assuming this is a brand new unit that has never been sold.

Are you using the blend date as the build date? Or?

I'll ask if the recall was already done (I'm assuming it was). Any other questions I should ask? I may be buying this long distance and driving out to pick it up.

As FH pointed out, is this a track or tech pack car?

My blend date is 9/19/16, no issues, Ford App shows no open recalls so I'm thinking the oil lines were done.

I'm going to use Epiphany's pictures to verify.

I'm chassis number 2019, curious what the number is on the one you're looking at.

Neither. As I said, this is a 2017 car. It has the convenience package. I found a similar car, similar price, with the electronics package. As much as I like the Recaros, I'm leaning towards convenience. My wife would appreciate the heated seats, and I don't fit so well in the Recaros with my concealed carry pistol.

I'll see if I can find out.

My chassis number is 22** something. It was built in September. No recall work was done on my car and the dealer said there were no open recalls when I bought it. I may have to double check that.

I bought mine almost 2 months ago and it has been a really fun 2,200 miles. No issues.

Don't see why there should be any issues compared to a more recent build. My car is a June 16 built 2016 Track Pack. The car has been flawless (knock on wood), including the oil cooler line recall done without any snags. A 10/16 build wouldn't even be subject to the recall.

The problems reported on this site seem to be somewhat random. Kind of the luck of the draw, a newer build doesn't necessarily mean more reliable or better quality.
