Could be a whole lot worse. At least they HAVE a car and want to mod it, even in bad taste. Most kids want the newest phone, etc and couldn't care less about cars in general. Not I'm not applauding this , just sayin!!

Well I delineate between putting custom badges on your vehicle versus putting fake badges. I.E., a V6 badge on an otherwise badge-less V6 is cool, but putting a Shelby badge on a Ecoboost is grounds for execution. That's my $0.02.

I don't really care what people do. I mean I put a Roush exhaust on an Ecoboost. Doesn't mean I'd put GT badges all over my car though. There's an old Chevy S-10 in town with a Rolls Royce grill on it somehow. I need to get a picture of that thing as it's hilarious. I'm pretty redneck, but just wow.

Yes. 2nd owner since June 1989!! Not at the moment. It's someplace else while I add 2nd stall behind my single stall garage. It's a black compprep, 1 of 83?? made in 86.

I debated briefly putting 3.7 badges on, but when I see pictures of cars with them, they don't look right. "Wannabe" comes to mind when I see them. But never will I put anything on that's above my car's station. I may laugh myself to death if I ever see what you described.

And that's what personal taste comes into play. I think the 3.7 badges look quite good myself. But it seems like Up-badging is pretty much universally hated by everyone.

My mantra is "who cares". You do you and whatever makes you happy. We've become a society of too involved and concerned about others, what others may say, or how we may perceive it. Life is too short to give a damn who put on what parts on THEIR car.

I am also in the who cares group. It's their car, their money, they can do whatever they want.

I guess you could say I fit into this. My old 2017 GT had a GT350 spoiler, GT350 rear valance, and SVE S350 wheels, so I guess I was trying to look like a GT350. Nope, I wanted the spoiler because it looked the best in my opinion, (had it color matched to the car.) the valance because I wanted the Ford Performance active exhaust and the system came with the valance and had to be used with it, and the wheels were I wanted a lighter wheel and they were on sale for cheap. I thought it looked good, didn't care what others thought.

I'm adding a GT-style spoiler, and maybe a OEM fog light kit to the V6. Already put on 19" OEM wheels. I guess I'm a GT poser with a 5.0 emblem delete. šŸ˜Ž

Millennials are all about modding their bodies. Most of the kids talk about how expensive everything is. but they are rocking 25 grand worth of tattoos & piercings.
