Everyone has their own opinion on these extended warranties. I think they are a joke because I have had tons of friends that get them - either 1) never use them or 2) have a break down and the extended warranty doesn't cover the repair.

I personally would just save the money you would have spent on a warranty for an unexpected repair.

BUT my main issue with extended warranties is this though:

I took the Ford PremiumCare ESP via Granger due to the great price for the car and ESP. For me, its cheap insurance.

Me too. Only because it was cheap and fully covers everything. It s pro rated and transferable. Easy online purchase and shows up on the Ford app.... I never buy these things other wise.

I got one on my highlander up to 100k and I have 4k miles left to take advantage of it. Looks like money wasted.

My GT350, feels weird saying that, came with one when I bought it. Valid until 2027. For me its a peace of mind. I hope I never have to use it and deal with the hassle of repairs.

Update:
I went ahead and got the 10yr/100k 50deductible with the light option and the first day rental. (Supposed to give you first dibs on loaners)
I’m surprised that I racked up 1000 miles in one month driving around the local back roads. Getting my money’s worth already. So much fun to drive around. Nothing but happy memories Joy riding with my daughter.
Before committing, I had to come to terms that I may default coverage if I mod someday. Strangely, the 100k was cheaper than the 85k….. Calculating for inflation and labor/parts cost over the next decade, I think it is a good deal. Better if you factor in peace of mind.

I saw that too. That easily influenced me to go ahead and go 100k mi.
