Stand by for a video
Many thanks, T, and especially for the bolt size. I'm guessing it will be a lot easier than I think.

Happy Thursday! Here is an update:

Finished Underside:
We did some work on a mold for the underside that would allow the vents to have the same exposed carbon appearance underneath. The underside will be smooth and have a UV protective coating. Not going to add additional clear, buff and polish the underside though, as the cost in time would not be worth it. The remaining portion of the vent mounting surface at the edges will be done in gloss black.

This will be a $300 option for the vent. I will make this standard for future vents, but for those currently waiting you can opt in/out. Although, at this point I would definitely do it.

Production Schedule
I made some minor tweaks to the vent after the initial test fit. All of those changes have been implemented and we should start production on the first 10 vents next week! I will keep everyone updated as we continue to move forward.

Rain Tray Mounting Clips
Here are a couple more very simple options for mounting the rain tray. M5 speed clips, U-clips, and automotive mounting clips.

It IS eye catching, Terrance but only if there is no CF weave in the same view. For folks who got the carbon cars, the double weave is the only option (and I can't WAIT to get my copy!) <smile>

Good news is the first batch is in production now. Nearing the light at the end of the tunnel.

We are looking at March 31st for the completion of the first batch of vents assuming no worldly delays.

They will be shipped to me and then shipped to all of you individually.

We are almost there!

Terrance: I believe I am ready to take delivery. <grin> Had to do a bit of searching online to find the rivnuts and machine screws I wanted but finally got the last of them today. Got the Astra or whatever that cool tool is called, (thanks again, Tob,) figured out and I'm ready to set some nuts. :-)
