And look at it now... Cars in the 60's were not running 9's, 10's and 11's off the showroom floor. NO matter what you paid. Don't get me wrong, I don't feel that the average person taking their cats off is the problem. Cars that lay down 1000hp nowadays are probably more efficient than the average car from 20 years ago.

Computer control of engines changed the game, for the better.

Yes you would never get 24 miles to the gallon on a 60's 70's 80's or 90's 400HP car.

My 400+ HP gt gets almost 30 on a long flat freeway drive. That same drive in my 400 HP 1970 Roadrunner got 12.

That same drive in my 400 HP 1970 Roadrunner got 12.
My 71 440 roadrunner got 8. But that was with 3.91 gears.

Anyways, the response stated to date it has NOT been reintroduced.

I don't know if it's accurate to say they're "after" our cars. I think the Dems are working to better our environment after the scorched earth policy of the previous administration.

A change in the way we do mods on our cars is definitely on the horizon. But I feel this could be a good thing in that it could foster change and innovation for the better. That doesn't mean we won't be able to mod our cars it means we need to mod our cars in a cleaner manner.

Necessity is the mother of invention. Americans are some of the smartest people on earth. We will find a way to move forward and I think we'll be better for it.

I had the hemi. 426 4.11 gears 32 inch tires. 4 speed manual trans. It fouled plugs at every stop light. I took the dual 4bbl off of it and put on a single 4bbl. That helped the drivability. Still ate spark plugs and gas. Good thing 100 octane was 40 cents a gallon...

Mine was just the 375 hp Super Commando w/ 727 torqueflite. Only mods were Stepped headers, Edelbrock TM7 intake, DC 509 cam, Holley 850 DP, DEBS 3000 stall convertor. . Rears were protrac N50 tires. Don't think it even made 1hp per cubic inch cause couldn't even get it into the 12s haha.

That should have hit 12's easily. You had other issues.

That 509ncam with the DC porting templet kit was the bomb on the B and RB engines. I had a 383 dart sport that ran 9's
