I was always a bit envious seeing clear tails on S550s when living in Europe...I decided to bring the clean look to my US spec:

Overall, super easy install (30min) with a big visual impact. Sequential function retained and D.O.T. legal. If you like the look, I highly recommend,

Looks great against the black and silver "GT".

Yep, I really like these things; a subtle way to stand out from the crowd and they really give the car a clean look. No issues, they work as they should.

...plus, they complement my front tag pretty well 🍻🍻 😉 :

Funny how we always want what we don't have. In Europe we lust for the red US tail lights. :giggle:
I do agree that the clear ones look better with some colours, though, and black is definitely one of them.

No matter the colour of the car, I think that smoked lenses is the best - it makes the entire rear end with the piano black panel much more complete.

I love how mine turned out!
The taillights are the smoked Vland and reverse lighy and reflectors has gotten some smoke vinyl

Smoked looks good on a grey (and perhaps also black) car.
Personally, I tend to shy away from smoked lenses because they scream "tuning" to me. It's painfully obvious that they're aftermarket, whereas clear or red lenses have an OEM look. I like to tune my car in subtle ways that can fool most people apart from a handful of connoiseurs. But that's just me.
