These seem really bright! Stock ones are really poor.

They are REALLY bright !

I saw that the D8S HID on our cars brings around 2400 lumens, and the new LED fog light I bought has also around 2400 lumens ...

So they are as bright as the HID light.

Unfortunately we should make a dozen of mods to reach the default of US version. :frusty:

Are we sure that the headlight bulbs are exactly the same ? :D

headlights have different power, 25w instead of 35w for the US version. As form factor, they should be the same but caniggia said they need some small mod to fit.

And EU version are D8S bulbs, US version are D3S bulbs
oh didn't know this..! So it's the reason why they should be modded to fit.

I do wonder if we should let a few months go by and get a small list together of our quibbles. Before anyone says this, yes, I am delighted with the car and the money I have paid for it but there are just a few issues that Ford could have/should have put more thought in to and things like the Fogs and the DRLs just seem to have short changed us.

I am damned if I want to send my headlights to some guy in Poland to get my DRLs working and it annoys me that I am looking at the best part of a couple of hundred quid to have some decent fog lamps.

The folding mirror on the drivers side is another thing.

Ford have the power and the know how to help us get our cars to the spec we want and it would not hurt them to come up with some fogs and a DRL kit for a sensible price with Ford backing.

Maybe a letter signed by 20 or so owners would get them to look at this.

Even if it would (which I doubt) it wouldn't fix our cars.

I did and instead of being annoyed it will make me smile every time I walk up to my car.

Might as well step up to a 50w if you're going to change them. If you want the most usable light, I'd advise replacing the projectors with the EvoX-R's. Which is a simple bolt in after you open the heads to install the DRL's.

BTW, i have a spare set of LED fogs if anyone wants them, just pay the shipping and 50 usd. I'm tired of looking at them.
