I realize ford can't please everyone, but it would make sense to offer a Track pack AND a drag pack option.
but probably won't happen :(

Yup! I personally don’t get caught up in the “horsepower” talk! There’s a lot more to a car then that number. Granted I’m expecting to see 730 or more, 800 would be awesome but 725-750 will do just fine. I’m way more concerned that the power is useable and that the car still has great handling characteristics.
I have a feeling you will be happy with the handling characteristics. the 350 is very good.

That’s what I’m expecting. Hopefully they put in plenty of time/engineering on power delivery (not completely blowing the tires off!) and throttle response/smoothness. I think GM could’ve done a much better job on the Z06 in both of those departments.

The Demon is a drag strip car really. Not a high production run and more of a demo car IMO. The GT500 SHOULD be a proper road car that can make turns. Everything I heard about the last gen was about it being a handful to drive. If think if they get that right and have "only" 700-750 hp it will be a huge hit.

If it shows up in the first 2 brackets, I'll pass on the car. I'll cheer from the sidelines as it eats up ZL1's. Interested to see how this unfolds.

When the first factory Shelbys arrived in 2007, they eclipsed the 2004 Cobra by 120 horsepower
(380 vs 500), and then gradually increased the "Condor" engine by 50HP to 550 by the end of
it's run in 2012. When the "Trinity" debuted in 2013, it eclipsed the "Condor" by 112HP (to 662).
Wouldn't it seem likely that the "Predator" would follow suit and raise the bar by at least 100HP?
This would easily put it in that 755HP "easter egg". Not saying that I believe in the Easter bunny,
but 755HP just sounds right.

Actually the 03/04 Cobras where (under) rated at 390 HP, the vehicle that was listed at 380 HP was the 01-04 Lightnings as I have been lucky enough to have owned (gone but not forgotten!) an example of each but don't mind me as I'm just splitting hairs here...lol but based on that I could expect 775 HP...I HOPE!

My brother works with people very close to the S550 development/Engineering team, he told me something that will disappoint a lot of you folks.

First, the GT500 most likely won’t be present at NAIAS because Ford wants to set the spotlight to the Bullitt.... and there is good and bad news:
Good news: The GT500 will be a monster and will have more power than its competition (GT500 and ZL1).
Bad news: “Barely more power”

The Easter egg is wrong, and not for good.

I like to disassemble things.
Some of the numbers thrown about have seemed rather "optimistic."

Just around 10% of the people got it right...

It will be a monster for sure, but not “as powerful” se some may think

Was/is your brother privy to any other information regarding the powertrain such as the transmission?

He knows, but he doesn’t want to tell me more information regarding the transmission and he avoids answering me everytime I ask him about a manual. He says that it will be crazy fast, but that’s it.

I have a feeling if it comes out with 800 hp then Dodge will respond with a Demon motor in everything and Chevy will put the ZR1 engine in a Camaro and call it a Z28.

Sadly it won’t, It won’t even be at the same “power level” than the ZR1.
