I've worked with engineered and manufactures and I can assure you, they don't spend money on parts, materials which they feel aren't needed. But, you do have the choice to do what ever you feel like doing to your car.
While I’m all for keeping as much stuff factory as I can, if you’re looking into supercharging your car you’re going to have to make some sacrifices. Surely strapping a blower to the front of this isn’t what the engineers intended either.

Stop drinking that kool-aid…

i guess this cheap cars are so perfectly designed from factory, it is totally pointless to upgrade the exhaust, the brakes, the suspension, add more power, get better tires, etc…

completely pointless on upgrading vertical links, adding subframe braces, etc. its a mustang, not a Bugatti chiron or a Koenigsegg Jesko… chill…

Lol relax.

they don’t even come on cars not equipped with PP.
Just so happens, my 19 is a PP. Lol. If I get to a point when installing a mod, I will design a way to make the most work, but still meet the intent of the manufactures design spec. That's just me.

I didnt even put the bumper beam back on after I installed the intercooler....

If I need to take the bumper off for anything in the future I'll get a smaller chromoly bumper support, but until then I'll take the weight savings.

I'm not sure all the "stuff" you've added to your car meet the manufacturers design spec.

That's exactly what I said! lol. dont really plan to take the bumper off until I possibly replace the g3 intercooler with the yet to be released g4 spec. Both me and my buddy are seeing like 35-40F rise in IATs on 1/4 pull.

So you're saying they're releasing a G4 specific intercooler?
The G3 and G4 currently share the same 3.5" intercooler right? Would be nice to have an even larger IC option.

They are currently testing a larger intercooler. They posted it on the ESS Facebook group.

Also, you guys running no front bumper bar are crazy. Hopefully you don’t get in a front end collision.

That's good to see. I'd probably just run that larger IC even with the G2 kit.

And agreed on the crash bar. Just run the steeda/bmr crash bar. It's only ~$130 and you save 10lbs.

More cooling is almost never a bad thing, so I’m with you.

Ya the crash bar is one of the few things I’m hesitant to change. I’ve read too many things saying it’s structural and designed to take impact in a collision. If this was a race car, sure get rid of it. But it’s a weekend car for me.
