Talking about the fuel system setup and look what I received today.

Special thanks to @Stephen@lethal and @LethalBlake for helping me out.

G3, 115mm pulley, 93 octane. That should get you very close to your goal.
You said before g2 with 115mm will get those numbers and the g3 with 120mm….

the back and forth with some info it’s what makes difficult to take a final decision… idk…

Yea I was a little thrown off by this one. Seems like G3 and 120mm or G2 and 115mm has been the standard through the whole thread.

It hasn’t been, I think you’re confusing the octane recommendations. From the beginning it has been recommended that Gen 2 cars (15-17) can run either head unit G2/G3 with a 115mm pulley (93 octane) or a 120mm pulley (91 octane) and Gen 3 cars (18+) can run either head unit (G2/3) with a 120mm pulley (93 octane) or a 125mm pulley (91 octane). It’s also listed on the site (see attached picture). The G3 will make slightly more power at these pulley levels but is still safe for the same octane.

I think the info has been pretty stable all along. The pulley size and recommendations haven’t changed and are on the website. Setups and model year of car will change some things but at the end of the day you are octane limited on pump gas. Run the smallest pulley on our list based on your model year car and for your available octane fuel and call it a day.

Okay thanks for the info

According to the dyno graph someone posted showing the G2 vs. G3, the G3 had an advantage of about 38 hp and 33tq on the same gas and pulley.

So regarding my power goals where I'm trying to make 700hp flat, how would a G3 + 120mm compare to a G2 + 115mm (both using 93 octane)? In theory, couldn't I reach my goal using less PSI on the G3 and have more efficient/reliable power.

That graph was at over 800whp. The gains will become larger G3 over G2 as power rises and the G2 begins to run out of breath. Those power differences are smaller at the 700whp mark because the G2 is still well within its efficiency range.

For what it's worth, I am using the G3 with 120mm pulley on a '16 and my tuner did say that I should be safe to switch to the 115 if I wanted. Im using a DW415 w/BAP and ID1050x. I'm just sticking with the 120 so I know i'll be on the safer side until I bite the bullet and switch to E85.

Boost per pulley… using a G2 as reference.

a G3 with the 115mm may be too much boost… that’s why I thought (and I wasn’t alone) the recommendation was G2/115mm on 93 and G3/120mm on 93… talking about head units, not the engine.

my car shift at 8k right now… G3/115mm at 8000 rpm will be like 737377272726253 psi and that scares me lol 😆

Well I suppose if you “have to know” this will give an opportunity to show some photos from our current US production facility. The supercharger head unit and internals as well as the bracket, hardware, pulleys, components etc.. are all American made with zero percent Chinese components. They are designed, manufactured, and assembled in the USA.

I don’t know who your sources are that have been saying that the kit is “cheap Chinese junk” but I wouldn’t recommend listening to them any longer. I’m also not sure why any of those comments needed to be dispersed into a public “ESS forum” over and over again. It just spreads misinformation around like cancer.

I hope this finally lays to rest your concerns so that we can move on. If you have any other questions please feel free to email me directly for accurate info about the kit. Thanks [email protected]

I'm in no way in shape or form saying ESS Supercharger made elsewhere. I'm looking at this kit for my 2015 GT.

There are plenty of parts made in other countries that blow our stuff out of the water too. We gave them know how, machines and taught them in our schools. Like Brazil iron casting better then U.S and Germany. Sorry to break it to many but "trade skills" are in severe shortage in U.S It's sad to see we were once Manufactuing powerhouse just makes me sick to see it gone
