Today I made the trip down to Evolution Performance to pick up my 2015 Mustang GT 6R80 car with the Edelbrock Stage I 2650 Kit. Before I get into numbers, I want to thank Fred and Dalton at Evolution Performance for their excellent customer service and answering all of my questions prior to buying the kit and even after picking up the car. Also thanks for the rip in the white car, that thing moves out quite well with three people in the car and in 90 degree heat!!

My car is 99% daily driven and rarely sees the drag strip due to the fact that the closest one (Lebanon Valley Speedway) is a solid 2+ hours away. I've had issues with shops in the past with other builds before (Grand National and LS builds prior) which made me extremely hesitant in the first place but I rolled the dice with Evolution and I really can't thank them enough. For me, customer service goes a long way and I recommend them for anyone in the NorthEast area looking for a shop.

I shopped around for different setups and ultimately I went with the Edelbrock Stage I Kit (2650). I will strictly be running 93 octane (No E85 near me) and want to keep the stock converter in the car. Drivability was my biggest priority and Lund Racing (Lund JR) has the car dialed in amazing. I sat in multiple hours of traffic on the way home and the car never missed a beat. I am still running the stock airbox and throttle body which I'm sure is holding back some power but I think it still made pretty good power for what it is.

The car made 634rwhp/642rwtq at 10psi. The torque is plentiful and the car is deceivingly strong being that the blower is whisper quiet. The only modifications to the car are the Edelbrock Stage I kit, a Boost-A-Pump, a Ford Racing Catback, Steeda Comfort Suspension Package, and BMR Lock-Out Kit. I'm running SVE 350 19x10/19x11 Wheels with Nittos NT555G2's. The suspension is also night and day difference from before and the car no longer has that "floaty" feeling on the highway giving me much more confidence going into the corners.

Once the weather gets better I'll try and make at least one or two trips to the drag strip with the car. Any questions about the car let me know, I'm happy to answer and hope to see a few more Edelbrock setups popping up soon!

I like the look of the Edelbrock blower, has a very OEM-like appearance.

634whp is plenty for a DD. Once you get into the higher HP numbers drag radials become imperative to make use of the power. Street tires already have a hard time with 600whp in 1st/2nd/ gear unless you gradually roll into boost. I also run 315 Nitto G2's, they do their best but any more power and I'd be spinning all day long.

Man thats crazy, that has to be the first coyote i have seen make more torque than hp. You should go to lebanon valley next sunday for the musclepalooza event, they have a modern muscle class, i was the only s550 in the spring event... 3 demons, 12 hellcats... 1 s550?

I’d love to go but my rotation at work doesn’t hit weekends again for another few weeks. Last time I was there for test and tune I was the only S550 as well. How far are you from the track?

If nothing else the edelbrock kit is a looker. As for the tq auto cars do some funky stuff on dynos so their tq readings can be a little odd, either way 630+hp is nothing to sneeze at, I'm sure you'll be happy for a bit :)

Awesome results! That torque is something we see on most builds using the 2650. That's no fluke. It really is a great overall package and perfect for street driving especially on an auto. If more HP is desired in the future throw a 90mm TB on there and our competition air intake.

I am alittle over an hour away. That torque should make launching interesting.

You guys have any other 2650 cars power #'s with the stage I kits?

Being that it's my daily driver and I'm on stock half shafts, breaking down 2 1/2 hours away would kinda put a damper on a night. I have a set of Nitto NT05R's for the rear, but need to pick up a jacket before I go back since tech was pretty strict last time out. The torque is making driving the car again plenty of fun.

Are different pulley sizes available for this unit?

Of course. The kit comes with a 3.25" 6-rib pulley. We offer a 3.00", 2.75" and 2.625" for smaller 6-rib pulleys. We also have an 8-rib conversion kit that has an 18% OD damper and many 8-rib pulleys from 3.75" all the way down to 2.625".

We actually install a .015 nitrous jet in the bypass hose to soften the torque hit. This slows the bypass valve down so the boost ramps on more progressively and makes driving on street tires possible. When you are on a good tire or at the track, the jet can be removed and response will increase dramatically.

Yeah lebanon is pretty strict. They usually let me get a couple passes in before they tell me to slow down. Let me know when you go, i’d love to see it run.

Damn those number are good, my Whipple 2016 was 694 HP and 520 torque, I have a 2019 and may look into the E Force if they come out with one
