    Excellent point.
Did Whipple offer a warranty then screw anyone over? nope.
12:1 + FI leaves little room for fuel variance: my opinion is Whipple is more realistic about that than EB.

Get ready for all the hurt FI motors from winter fuel mix changes...

Very impressive, no booster, just straight 91

Well one this that's positive, Whipple stood behind the issues..EB didnt screw anyone over, and u can run their canned tune safety but imho regardless of setup I'd still run an octane booster in my car just to be safe especially as u said with the bad winter gas....

Your experience is impressive. For whatever reason, it seems that many people with the EB tune complain of surging and/or stalling.

Stymee: correct- straight 91 without octane booster. Was thinking of trying to add either some booster or mix in some 101 gas to see if anything noticeable. I could load the Edelbrock 93 canned tune, but dont really need the hassle of trying to find the required gas. 91 is the standard out here, but there are 2 VP stations each 35 miles away that sell the 101 octane.

Last time I talked to Shaun (he did all of my NA tuning) he mentioned he would not tune 18+ FI without straight e85 or race fuel regardless of the injectors. I wonder if he has since changed that?

Might be worth a try, mix 101 and 91 and add the 93 tune

When coming off of idle and into some throttle there is a little surge forward as boost builds, but no bucking surging or anything else. As for stalling there was some throttle body issues that Edlbrock is aware of and they will take care of you should this happen.

More and more tuners r saying this, wow these canned tuned forced induction setups on 91/93 must be really tame

True, but Edelbrock tunes are specifically crafted around regularly available pump gas, which has different specifications, so there is def. some risk.

The EB tech told me adding some octane will help, so mixing is the way to go

So others are getting that slight hesitation or buck with stage 2 when you step on the gas?

Screwed over== all these EB stage 2 guys that had to give up on canned tune and pay for Lund.
Then Lund said no tune until you get a smaller pulley so more money.
Then EB runs out of smaller pulleys so more money more time wasted.
12-13psi on 11:1 2015-17 allowed for fuel inconsistency.
12+ on 12:1 2018+ is very risky on 93. On 91 its negligent.
Constantly adding octane booster means your setup is wrong for the fuel.

source for Gen 3 short blocks ( nationwide shortage)

I totally agree, that’s why I said I would add octane or octane booster to a Stage 2
