Why is it called a nitrous pill though? What does nitrous have to do with it?
At the risk of going down deep rabbit hole... in reality it is a nitrous oxide metering jet that is placed in the vacuum line that helps to modulate the boost threshold. Calling it a pill is just a nickname but it literally is a piece right out of the nitrous oxide kit

Thanks! That helps a lot :)

Is this an edelbrock specific thing?

I might be going up one size as well. With 3.73s on my 2016 have to be in fourth gear for full traction. Basically have to have room to go 100mph to get on it. Going from a 3.25” pulley and a 81” belt to a 3.5” pulley and I assume an 81.5” belt. Should pull 1-2 psi and 40-50hp maybe?

he is running a stage 2 with an 8 rib. but to answer your question he has a 3.5 upper with the 15% lower.
If nearly 15 PSI is normal for the stage 2 kit under WOT, how does Edelbrock prevent spark knock? Retarded timing? Richer A/F ratio?

I don't know how OP is measuring boost. If he is using the factory gauge in the car, it is inferred and not 100% accurate. This kit ships with 13ish.

That is a lot of boost for a 12 to 1 compression engine, Isn't it? I can see the benefit of a 3.75 pulley just for safety on pump fuel. However, what does that do to the EB warranty?

Roush kits are sent out running equal if not more psi. The Edelbrock calibration has never giving me a problem on the numerous cars we have installed these on. If you remove the pulley technically it does void the warranty, they have no way of proving you didn't just put a smaller pulley on it. I would just enjoy the car as it is!

I guess if EB is willing to offer the warranty with the 3.5 pulley, I shouldn't be concerned about too much boost.

Why would you want to go down from 10psi?

I would rather add traction than reduce power!

Well Lund won’t tune 93 octane on EB warranty pulley, to me that sez something, if I was custom tuning the EB Stage 2, I’d run the larger pulley but I agree with the stock pulley and EB tuning I’d run It exactly the way it was shipped

I’d still add higher unleaded (splash) or half a bottle of octanium every tank full just to be safe..
