As lusty as the Coyote V8 would be, for 99% of my daily use, I wouldn't need it. And because of the price difference on purchase, insurance, and fuel, I would lean towards the EB4.

What I would miss would be the viceral sound of the V8 more than anything. Ford already has an answer to this: the sound symposer (ala Focus ST). Anyone heard a rumor about whether they might include that on this EB4? It may not sound any better on the outside, but who cares? I'll be in the cabin.

Oh, and one other thing: any word on hydraulic vs. electric steering?

I'm sure they will find a way to make it sound great.

As for the steering, they already switched to electric assisted steering with the current model. There would be no good reason to switch back to hydraulic.
