Mine is the hard to find '12 i7 quad core (16GB, 2x drives, 1TB HDD upper, 512GB SSD lower). This thing is a crazy little workhorse

The Crucial SSD in mine was in my '11 MBP, then in my '12 i5 DC Mini, then in this '12 i7 QC machine, so it's been in 3 machines, and it's got a VM that was an original Winders© install on an HP laptop from 2008

Nice! I have a Samsung 840 EVO in mine. It's an i5, but I upped it to 16GB of RAM. Does the job, but I usually do most work on my MacBook Pro. :cheers:

Nice! I have a Samsung 840 EVO in mine. It's an i5, but I upped it to 16GB of RAM. Does the job, but I usually do most work on my MacBook Pro. :cheers:

A word of caution, keep crucial info off that drive. Old data access becomes very slow and some samsung drives have shown data loss, all of which are more prominent on the EVO series. Go Intel for anything mission critical.

Yeah, all of my backups are stored on my second hard drive and duplicated on my AirPort Extreme. But usually I use my MacBook Pro. It's rare that I'm ever on the mini.
