It's a great comparison in my opinion. All the options run on the same dyno and during the same day. That new CJ intake looks great. I'd love to do a high winding NA build.

By all accounts, the gen 3 manifold beats the gt350
Gen3 intake is the BEST bang for the buck. Big deal if it gives up a few horsepower waaaaay upstairs. Last year going from a 17 intake manny / airbox / 3.31's to a 18" intake manny / 18+airbox / 3.73's got me a best 11.13 from my previous 11.8x.

Not on the race track.
Need video to back this up. Not arguing by any means, just no way an 18+makes only 377whp

In all fairness, how much of that is attributed to the 3.73?

They didn't run it out, and it might be a stingy dyno. Some read low, some read high.

What makes me think this is the case is the CJ manifold numbers are down also.

Yea, they mentioned Lund doing the tuning it would not have been hard to raise the speed limiter.....

Hi All - For any questions regarding why the stock cars weren't ran out, it's because we were either rev limited or hit the speed limiter with the factory calibration. Hope this clears up any confusion. Thanks!

There was quite a buildup with this video and it seemed to fall flat. I was expecting more for a redesign. I appreciate Steeda doing this video, but it definitely did not sell me on the Gen2. As they said multiple times in the video, the biggest plus to this model is that "it looks good". At the end of the day, you'd still have to dump thousands more into headers and other things to get some decent power gains. At that point, forced induction may be a better bang for your buck.
Someone mentioned that it would fit under the stock hood. With mods to the lining of your hood, it might, but its still tight. The adjustable motor mounts are an essential part to this mod.

For the stock Gt, it was also ran in 6th gear and not 7th (its an auto).

I'm unclear, did Ford have another dumbass moment here? Does the thing fit under the hood of every S550 without adjustable (drop) motor mounts or not? Cause it seems like everyone keeps saying it fits, but then I've seen reports it doesn't. If the damned thing doesn't fit, that's like 95% of the entire reason to consider it. (looks cool under a closed hood is a non-factor).

This is a great vid by Steeda, but to get the rest of the story, we'd need to see how they flow when you rev them out to what most aftermarket tunes are going to employ for redline.

The summary of the story previously is that most of the intakes (18, GT350, CJ, Boss) are pretty close until you either rev it out and/or add cams, then the field starts to separate. I'd be interested to see what each intake makes when upping the rev limit. (not taking away from what Steeda did for us here).
