It does just unscrew when not in use.

If you have a 5.0, the only modification needed is opening up the hex portion of the lower grill where the shaft for the tow hook passes through.

My 2016 GT doesn't have any hex in the lower grill.

A note for ecoboost owners - this will NOT work with the active grill shutters in place. It also might not work with larger ICs like the ATM, Levels, etc. I have the Mishi, so I can't speak to those. Also, I had to take my bumper off in order to remove the AGS, but I also think I would have needed to just for the clearance to get in there and work. All that aside, it fit great, looks great. Just in time for the track on Saturday!

The current kit should bolt up to the GT350 I just don't know where it will land in the lower grill, as soon as I get my hands on one, we will know for sure.

Did you ever determine if this works for the GT350R?

I am trying to install one on my GT. The factory bolts where this needs to be bolted to do not fit inside of the channel. So do I need new bolts or to modify what I already have?

I left Dusold Designs a year ago, but I designed that kit and it should come with 4 nuts that fit inside the channels, so if you don’t have those the factory nuts will not work and you will need to sorce different nuts.

I have the factory nuts. The have a washer attached to them that does not fit inside the channel.

If they did t send you 4 replacement nuts, you will need to go to the hardware store and pick some up. Or have them send you some.
