Are the specific, objective values of the drive modes listed anywhere?

All the descriptions I find are pretty subjective and I'm wondering exactly what's happening.

It's mostly throttle response and stearing weight.

Sport- throttle is more responsive.
Wet- less responsive than normal to minimize loss of traction.
Track-very similar to sport but TC is off.

Sport- throttle is more responsive. + a little less advance track

Wet- less responsive than normal to minimize loss of traction.

Track-very similar to sport but TC is off. + even less advance track

In normal and wet, you can't do any over steer before advance trak comes in. Sport will allow a little tail wiggle before it kicks in. track will allow a lot of oversteer, but advance track will still kick in and keep you from doing spins.

So I can also turn off Advance track if I manually disengage the traction control? I would need to do that in addition to being in track mode?

(Having said that, I know I'd rather have the nanny protections mostly in place on the street)

And is the steering mode independent of the driving mode? If I'm in track mode do I have to switch the steering to sport mode?

Yes you can change the steering mode independent of the driving mode but when you change the driving mode, it will automatically select the steering mode for you.

And then you can change the steering back to whatever you like.

(I wish the modes would leave the steering alone. I like it where I like it.)

So on a base PP, I press the traction control button twice real quick. The traction light comes on and it says advance trac off spot mode on; is that the same as like sport +? is traction control off completely?

I don't even drive in normal mode, I do this everytime now bc throttle response is so much better; it even helps make shifts smoother with a more responsive throttle

---------

Default at every start-up:
- Traction Control On
- Stability Control On

Single tap: "Traction Control Off"
- Traction Control Off
- Stability Control On

Double Tap: "AdvancTrac Sport Mode"
- Traction Control Reduced
- Stability Control Reduced

Press & Hold: "AdvancTrac Off" (e.g. Track Mode)
- Traction Control Off
- Stability Control Off

AdvancTrac helps to maintain control of your vehicle on slippery surfaces using Traction Control and Stability Control by applying brakes to individual wheels and reducing engine power.

Traction control helps to avoid drive wheel spin and loss of traction.

Stability control helps avoid skids and lateral slides.

On a Base Mustang, this is all completely independent of the steering setting.
