Michigan Bourbon Club gets the chance to do barrel picks with various stores. I picked up my bottles today of the Wilderness bourbon and Wilderness rye barrel picks that were done. Had some of the bourbon this evening. Great pick, lot of toffee on the nose, and brown sugar with a hint of smokiness and some fruit on the tongue.

If they have someone who knows what he is doing they can be great. I don't think that I have a had a bad store pick though. Our Michigan Bourbon Club gets to do picks quite often, in conjunction with a store and so far they have done a great job on every barrel.

I did the Totalwine pick I think. I'll go home and read the bottle.

But with bourbon being so popular, it should be easy hiring anyone who know's what they're doing. Bourbon is just so trendy lately.

I've had a few of those batches, and the Ocean single barrel iirc. Cool that it's literally friends with different jobs making a collab to help each other do something mutually beneficial. The Bourbon is pretty good too, lol
