Double honk when exiting the car while it's running

On the colder winter days, I usually start the car 15 minutes before I leave to defrost the windows. I get in the car, start it up, adjust the climate settings and as soon as I exit the car (with the key on me) and close the door, the car emits two brief honks. It's not what I or the neighbors want to hear at 7am. Anyone know if and how this can be disabled?

Edit: Nvm, after a more extensive search, I found a thread on this issue. Mods can delete this one.

There was already a big thread about this. No you can not disable it. If you have a manual just leave your keys in your car.

Yeah, this is especially annoying when I pull up to our mailbox area and get out and people look at me all funny like I'm locking my doors just to walk 5 feet away.
