Door squeak

I get a light, rubbery squeak when I open my driver's door. I thought it was the detent thing that holds the door open, but greasing it didn't help. Any suggestions where to look next?

Mine did the same thing and it was piece foam on bottom of the inside of the fender that was touching the door everytime I opened it. I just pushed it in and no more squeak.

I poked around at that but it seemed to be in its correct location. I'll look again.

Well, darn, wish mine was that easy to fix! Wife's passenger door squeaks when I open it, and I have lubed every place I can find and it still squeaks...driving me nuts!

Double-check that foam. I eventually had to double-sided tape mine in place because it kept getting pushed back by the wind. It contacts the little point formed by the beltline crease.

Mine actually sounds like a rusty hinge grind and I don’t see any rust!
