Does anyone here have any data on ethanol content for E85 in the IE?

I am probably going to go with a straight E85 tune after I'm broken in. Does anyone have any verified numbers on EtOH content for our E85? Thankfully, E85 is popping up all over.

if you're going to run E85, you need to get an ethanol tester. I wouldn't not trust another persons word in that respect, just test the fuel yourself.

For me it’s always been %80+. I’ve also talked with a few tuners in the ie and they’ve confirmed that our e85 is legit e85

From what I've heard from people in the petrochemical industry, most of California's E85 is close to 85% and stays that way year round. I would still test it, it's easy to do.

Just for the hell of it test every time I fill up. The values run 82 to 86%.

Sure - and I have a tester being delivered today. That said, I want to know what others' experiences are should I go with a straight E85 tune so I can confidently find high EtOH content E85.

Who is doing the tuning? Get 2 tunes a Race 85 & a Flex tune?
Found out from your tuner what is the minimum EtOH recommended for the Race tune?
I will use Shawn at AED - I suppose I could do a flex too (or at least have one if needed - but E85 is becoming more available regularly). No - not yet.

you'll likely find the stations vary by delivery, from 70-85, so getting solid numbers from people will be tough.

Pretty sure most if not all tuners give you a Flex Fuel tune and a E85 tune. It's pretty much the only way to switch back and forth from different fuels.
If it was me, I would get the tuning device with the tunes loaded. Drive the car to an E85 station. Fill it and flash it with a Flex tune right then and there.
