Does anyone have a Modern Spare for their spare tire set up ?

The kit comes with the wheel spacer in case you have a flat on the front . If you have one I would love to know your opinion

Thats the same exact spare (Minus the universal holes) Automotive Authority has, except they dont have the spacer.

Here is a link to the specific modern spare website ordering page- do you have a number of options to include in your kit this one has the wheel and tire lug wrench wheel spacer and scissor jack and will fit in the wheel well according to Taylor at modern spare who I just spoke with .

The kit I just referenced is listed at 379 and includes everything they also have a coupon discount code for 20 bucks off sale for 359 it seems like a pretty good way to go for the times where you don’t want to fuss with doing a patch repair or where your original tire blows up and you have no choice !

Exactly, which is why I was waiting for AA to come out with theres, but this is cheaper and will fit in the wheel well in the trunk.

Also, I called and spoke to them, they confirmed that this has been tested to fit the 2020 GT500.

Yes indeed the perfect companion for a road trip otherwise if you don’t want to wait you can leave at home for the short Cars and coffee visits. I’ll be ordering mine later today

How come nobody else can get an 18" to fit on the front of a GT500 but they can? Just curious and SUPER interested to see if it actually does fit. I thought it was physically impossible.

Guessing it has something to do with the spacer for the front wheel position at least but I will go and pull off my front wheel this afternoon and measure the inside diameter I am curious as well

It’s because of the spoke design of the wheel. The spacer must push the wheel out so the caliper isn’t riding inside the barrel.

Not a 100 mile, any mph solution but it will get me home, to a wheel shop, or back to my trailer in a pinch. Which is all I am looking for.

Exactly why I am getting this too, simple take off and put the spare and head to a shop. Been waiting on this. Just ordered without carrying case since it will be affixed in the wheel well.

I hope that those who try this are successful. For me, a spare is essential to avoid a disastrous tow.

Yes I spoke with Terrence they do have a very elegant solution-
they consist of you taking a wheel from one of their large selection and they modify it so that it will fit at all four corners it was going to be a little over $1000 for the single wheel. Not against spending that kind of go but if we can have a solution that’s less than half the price out the door that will get you enough of a limp home distance safely then that will work I think for most of us
