btw, I greatly appreciate the dialogue, truthfully very helpful. My first car was a '65, had an '87 LX 5.0 and an '88 GT, though I haven't had a Mustang since then. We love our '74 Bronco, and have a '17 Explorer Sport. Would love to add a 'Stang back into the fold.

I'm sorta interested in Saleen, too. The White Label cars are nice to look at, and the white-face gauges look really cool to me.

I liked the part of the Saleen reputation where they supposedly did great things for the handling.
There's at least one owner of a Saleen White Label that takes his car for laps around various tracks in the SouthWest.

I would like to know how it rides. Saleen likes 20" wheels, which leaves the tire with a short sidewall, and the low stance makes me think the springs must be pretty stiff.

It would be great if a Saleen owner could tell us if it rides like a track car and sucks on half-maintained back roads, or if it rides like a GT PP1 car, or what. Better still if they could compare handling and feel between the PP1, PP2, White Label, Q500 or GT350.

I have driven all of them. It drives better and handle better than the GT PP1 OR 2. It is lower, has larger and fatter tires, power is up from stock and sounds better. The sticker price point is about even with the PP2 unless dealer tries to inflate it. I have one and love it. Drove the PP2 and Mach 1 On same day. Similar ride to Mach 1 but was 7k cheaper.

I had a 2005 Saleen and it was an awesome car. Upgraded brakes, suspension, supercharger, and more. I was awesome to drive and got compliments everywhere.

I would absolutely rather have a Saleen over a GT if they are the same price. I would take a Mach 1 over the Saleen if price was the same, but a 7K premium like the other guy had on the Mach 1, Id probably do what he did.

I love the rear spoiler. That orange one is beautiful, unfortunately most of the color combos I've come across...let's just say not so much.

There was a time when a Saleen Mustang was my dream car too. Times like this:

But IMH(and incredibly biased)O, Roush overtook Saleen as the premier semi-factory Performance shop and hold that crown to this day.

I had a 86 Saleen. The worst riding car I have ever driven.

The ride is a mustang ride. Very little changes with suspension, maybe a tighter spr9ng which makes it handle better.
