I am adding a cell phone holder to my center console, in between the air vents, and I want to route my charging cable internally (all the other ways look a little "messy" to me). So, I have found this gadget that lets me have an "internal" USB connection for the other end of my charging cable: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01DYE54L...colid=17TS24TO8UQ4U&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it&th=1
The question is on where I can find power to tap into for my red and black leads. I came across this article that states that manual transmission cars used to have an unused power plug intended for auto transmissions: https://www.stangnet.com/mustang-forums/threads/looking-for-a-good-12v-switched-source.814230/
Does anyone know if this plug still exists in the center console? If not, are there other unused power plugs to tap into? Or what would be the best way to provide power to this device?
