Just got my second set of summer wheels for the S550 and wish I had gone with the 19X10.5 for the rears as it would've had a 3.65 inch lip instead of 2 inches like I have now! Problem is if I want to buy 2 X 19X10.5's this means it'll probably run me another $1300+CAD just for 2 wheels and some wider tires. I've added the second pic to show you the 3.65 inch lip which would've made the rear stick out more and just look better running 295/35/19's in the back and sorry for not putting up more than one pic of the wheels as I had to leave the car wash and will post some more out at a later time...

Just seeing this post now. Wow. I really like the ESR's and I was comparing the Project6GR's. How do you like the wheels 1 year later? Any issues or advice other thant the above?

Still love the wheels and will be keeping them for a long time. Still get the thumbs up on a daily when I have them on but the only thing I did change was the chrome rivets and installed the black chrome rivets which you can also buy from ESR. I really wanted the 19X10.5 ET22's but from my research you can't go beyond 275 wide tires I couldn't settle for and need 285 so running a squared stance as mentioned earlier with 285/35/19's all around.

Here's a side pic to help your decision making much easier :-)

Washed Maggie today after the snow we got last week during that bitter cold snap. Not to mention yesterday apparently a bird had indigestion and couldn't hold it while flying above my car. So I had to get that off.

"in my opinion" they F**** up the front end with the 2018 refresh. Some idiot had a "darth vadar" theme in his head (true story) and just ruined what was a perfect design with the 2015 refresh. There was a lot of thought and effort that went into the 2015 refresh (see "a faster horse" documentary) and it was just tossed away for the sake of coming out with something different. I think there were some really great things about the 2018 refresh... back end tail lights more aggressive design, quad tipped exhaust as standard, active exhaust, a bit more upgraded interior. But they should have stayed away from major changes on the front end. I believe they could have lowered the aggressiveness of the front cowl.. as I think that was a bit much in the 2015-17 model especially as a shorter person trying to look over that massive hood, but for the most part the front end should have stayed the same.
I do agree that the whole digital dash thing on the 2024 is awful. At least with the 2018 refresh you had a choice and they should have provided that choice with the S7 gen. Until it is all electric an analog option should be provided.
Couldn’t disagree more. The 2018 refresh was a full step forward in my opinion. Far more aggressive and mean looking up front. That’s just my opinion though.

yeah, it's definitely been polarizing for sure. My eyes just can't get over the two slants on the front which make it look like a fish (to me). I read that it was a tribute to darth vadar (not kidding). The rest of the changes I like for the most part. There were some really great advances with the 2018

Different people like different looks. If they didn't, similar sized cars would look almost alike. I mean why make your car NOT look like what everyone likes best.

Personally, I like some things about the 18+, but overall, I like the 15-17 best. The s-curves on the 18+ hoods are atrocious! Looks like they had two design teams: one started at the front of the hood and the other at the back and both stood their ground blaming the other team. Thankfully there are aftermarket hoods without the s-curve. The headlight "change" was just that: new needs to look different. For sure focus groups, etc. determined the new lights would be liked/accepted by most but it's pretty clear which style the insiders liked best. When the GT350 didn't get the new lights in '18 most GT/Eco owners said that was to avoid having to make new fenders and bumpers for such a low volume. But then the GT500 and.... lights that looked like the 15-17s again.
