I dont run very many events these days. But when I do I run with track insurance. Anytime your tires hit the pavement on the track you must be willing to loose what you put on that pavement. If you are not willing to do that, insure it. I am not willing to risk that so I buy track insurance each and every time. I have receive a cash out one time about ten years ago and am very glad I had it.

So you were happy with the coverage? Did you have to take a few years off before being able to get coverage again? Or did the rate increase?

They did do a slight investigation and it was not my fault at all. I got tagged really hard for a guy that came accross the track and hit on my right rear quarter which broke the rear suspension and that caused me to lay a visit to the k rail. So after about a year, ( i had to get another track car) i went back to the track with track insurance without any issiues from the same company.

Track insurance is wasting money until it isn't :)
Always do it for higher class or time trials. Hagerty increased a lot the price.(used to do only RLI )
Notw for me is lockton (for time trials) or opentrack for hpde
