I've been getting close to ordering a set of summer wheels for the Mach 1 and I'm interested in 11" wide rear wheels. 50mm offset appears to be the industry standard for 11" wide rears. I can't help to notice that rear camber is commonly being used in marketing photos.

Is camber necessary to get a flush or tucked in 11" wide @ 50mm offset wheel?

Steeda Tridents, Forgestar, and some Velgens are the exception at 52+ offset. Makes me wonder......

50mm offset on 11 inch wide will definitely poke without camber. People will post up plenty of pics of it sitting flush but they don't realize their rear camber is at -1.8 or greater. I've tried it at -.8 with 305 wide tires lowered 1 inch and the rear tires poked out about 12mm. If you're looking for max straightline traction I'd recommend no more then -.5 camber and a different offset wheel if you don't want any poke.

I just put GT350 wheels on my car, no rear poke at all, actually it's still recessed a little. small amount of poke in the front. rear is 19x11, +60 I think.

Mach 1 non-HP rear wheels, 19x10 @ 52mm offset vs the proposed new "industry standard" set up, 20x11 @ 50mm offset.

The OP said he's not looking to run camber, factory rear camber is around -1.5 like your photo. Now I'm not sure if he means more then factory camber or close to no camber at all for better straightline traction. When it comes to forward traction less rear camber plays a significant roll.

This generation of mustang has a new breed of owners though and some are looking for a more cambered, slammed, stanced aggressive fitment. They do it mostly for looks and not performance unless it's a dedicated road course car focused mostly on very aggressive turning, nothing you'd be able to do on the street. That's why these more aggressive fitments have become so popular.

Ah! I wasn't aware that the rear had 1.5 degrees of camber set already. Knowing that now, I think my question could be re-phrased as, will an 11" wide @ 50mm offset wheel require additional camber to sit flush with the top of the rear wheel arch? It looks like yes, based off of photo @Mikepol2 shared.

Seems like my safest choice here is finding a wheel with an 11 inch wide wheel with a 54mm or greater offset.

In my opinion an 11" on a 56mm offset works well. Anything more aggressive then that and you'll probably want to add some additional camber.

Well, the list of options is pretty short. Am I missing anything, @cbrtrx ?
  1. Forgestar's, 20x11 @ 56
  2. Weld's, 20x10.5 @ 55
  3. Shelby Venom 2.0, 20x10.5 @ 52

Depending on your budget you can also go BCforged and they will be cut to any offset you want.

Thanks again for the assistance @cbrtrx. I went with a pair of Weld's at 20 x 10.5 wide @ 50mm offset with 295/35/20 FK510 tires. I think I'll be the only Mach 1 wearing a pair of Laguna 108's in gunmetal!
