Do local Ford Dealers to you have any Mustangs in stock?

Is the Mustang (new car) inventory near you depleted? I know it's due to COVID, misc. manufacturing delays and the "chip" shortage", but was just checking my locals and was pretty astounded.

Out of (8) local Ford Dealerships near me, within a (20 mile radius) only 4 of those lots had actual brand new 2021 Mustangs and total count in inventory between the 4 lots was only (7)!

In the (7) counted, there was also only (1) Mach 1, that's it.

What I noticed too is on those Dealer Home Pages where there isn't any 2021 Mustangs, the Mustang icon was missing entirely and when looking for it in their new car list of actual model names, it was missing there as well.

But, all (8) of those Dealerships had a shitton of the POS Mach E's.... Yep, you know, touted everywhere as the big seller, outpacing the Tesla and that it's selling oh so well... Based on my searches, those hulks are just taking up lot spaces...

The 4 dealers in my area have a total of 10 Ecoboost mustangs, 3 Gts, One white Mach 1 and you could order a mach-e from one. Correction, found another dealer with 1 More ecoboost, 1 Gt , 1 gt500 asking $110K, a FJG mach 1 and another mach-e...

Anyways, depends on where you live. There are 204 new cars in Houston area.

• 10 Mach 1s
• 28 Ecoboosts
• 24 Mach-Es (this one was to piss you off lol)

Comparatively, the Camaro guys have it much worse. There are only 9 new within 50 miles of Houston. 8 six bangers and 1 SS.

There are quite a few in the Austin Area. My local dealer has 13 of which 3 are Shelby Super Snakes, a Jack Roush 750, and a GT500.

Even Galpin Ford in Los Angeles which I guess was just overtaken by Brandon Ford in Florida as the number one Ford dealer after 29 years?? only has 26.

15 Ecoboost, 3 Ecoboost Premium, 2 GT, 5 Gt Premium, 1 GT500 and NO Mach 1.

In the Albany, NY area, there are 9 dealers within 30 miles.

14 total Mustangs
1 Mach 1 - still sitting over sticker, while others have sold at dealers selling no more than sticker

51 Mach E!

However 35 of those are concentrated at two dealers over 20 miles away, so if you reduce the radius to 20 miles it is close to even. Not sure why those two have so many, they are not the highest volume Ford dealers in the Cap District, not even close.

The pause at the plant came at the wrong time for the Mustang heading into summer selling season for us. It is going to get thinner too because the plant isn't going to start churning cars out until the end of June or July.

I looked at my local dealers site about 2 weeks ago and found that each dealer on average had 1 Mustang in stock. ONLY 1.

To give folks an idea around me, in what's called the GTHA (Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area) radius, there are a total of ~200 or so Mustangs, spread out across these dealers. ~60km(37miles) radius, 20 or so dealers (Not including Hamilton, the map results cut it out)

Including the map below for scale:

(10km = 6.2miles)

Some dealers as much as 25 units
Some as little as 4 units
One actually has 0 units

One of the local new car sales brokers told me that the GTHA is one of the most densely dealer populated areas in North America, (considering all makes) and is one of the most competitive markets.

More dealers just to the South West of Toronto, I didn't bother to look into those, but would assume add more units to the ~200 in GTHA mentioned above.
