Do cat-back exhausts on GTs require any cutting?

Said another way, if I buy an aftermarket catback exhaust system, is any cutting required or is it 100% bolt on?

I have MBRP and didn't have to cut anything.

No cutting required for cat back. Axle back is where you’ll see cutting required. The stock GT exhaust is all a single piece from the cats back. It helps to have a friend to get the OEM unit out from under the car when removing

I didn't cut anything. The factory cat back is huge, 1 piece so plan on extra hands to help remove if you can. The new ones are usually at least 4 pieces so extra hands and eyes are helpful to get everything lined up when bolting together. I had to adjust mine a few times to get the tips straight. Still a little off since I did it by myself

As others have stated, no cutting required unless you’re removing the stock system yourself. Then you might want to cut it just past the resonator. It’s a bit big for one person to tackle, especially if you’re doing it with jack stands.

Most full catbacks are bolt on, if you are doing a 3" catback they should come with 2.5" reducers to connect to the factory connection pipes.

I agree, it was quite a handfull by myself on ramps and jack stands

They do if the previous owner welded in a cut & clamp H-pipe...ask me how I know...

Like everyone else said. It's 1 big piece. You can remove it by yourself, I did, it's just a little tricky. Not bad though.
