Perhaps. You do a dyno comparison ?
The HP difference would be too small to effectively measure. Regardless, it's pretty easy to see 15-20 pounds on a scale.

No, DSS says no need. Still trying to decide if I can't live with it or not.
They say no need to clock it - an aftermarket driveshaft that was never intended for the existing Powertrain originally - no clocking?

LMFAO... ok... so just live with the vines, right?!?

The factory driveshafts installed at the line need to be clocked, why wouldn’t an aftermarket unit?

17 Mt82 car with a DSS CF one piece here. Pretty bad vibrations from 50-60 mph. Clocked the rear, no change. Clocked the front 180 and noticeable change but still slightly there. Added some washers to the trans mount (1/8”) just to see if that helped and surprisingly it did but not enough. I’ll try clocking the front 90 degrees and then 180 if that doesn’t work.

I contacted DSS and asked about balancing and they’re about 4-6 weeks out... so trying whatever I can at this point. I bought it from someone on the mustang page But it was new in box. It didn’t come with the adapters though so I bought those new from DSS. Odds are it just needs to be balanced with the adapters. DSS claimed it shouldn’t matter thought because the DS should be balance and the machined adapters wouldn’t affect anything. Who knows though. Just posting to see if I can help anyone else out.

You need to do 1/4 inch washers on the x member and torque the k member bolts to 85 ft lbs..try that and report back..

yea I didn’t like the idea of adding spacers so I wanted to try The DS at every angle to see if it goes away first. And you’re talking about adding spacers to the cross member at the back of the trans right?

In between the trans x member and the frame..not the actual trans mount.

Anything new on this driveline vibration?.... I just got a DSS aluminum and already feel like it is out of balance. Vibration at about 60mph is concerning.
Nothing new, just stay away from DSS junk and use quality stuff like QA1 if you don’t want vibration.

I just installed a DSS drive shaft and had zero issues. I followed the directions and kept the spacer aligned like it came used blue loctite on the screws and torqued to spec. Have ran the car up to 140 and no vibration.
