Hey guys. First things first...I am not super creative but man do I love this car! I love posting pics so just be prepared for there to always be a ton of them.
Background
I have not had a "sports car" for about 12 years now. Until now my favorite car was my 1992 Miata.....WAIT! DON'T LEAVE YET! This Miata had a GReddy turbo kit and a full Link stand-alone computer running 12.5 PSI. Dyno numbers were 230RWHP....I mean this thing was FAST! Only weighed 2400lbs with me in it. Those were the days.
Fast forward to last year. I started my car search since both my daughters were fixing to have their own cars, so dad wouldn't be handing them down anymore. The list consisted of the Mustang, WRX STi and Golf R. This list dwindled down to just the Mustang after a 5 minute talk with the wife. She hated the wing on the STi and she hates hatchbacks. So I have found it easier to get the things I want if she gets her way....and I considered this a win/win. I started my research and quickly decided what I needed to have on it for a daily driver. It was going to have to be a 2016 DIB GT Premium with the Performance Pack, 400a, Ceramic interior and Navigation.
I went on a business trip in late November. When I get back I can see that my wife was acting strange then she just broke down and told me she ordered the car. She couldn't contain herself and had to tell me. There was no doubt that she ordered everything down to the 'T' that I wanted since I had made her a Word document with exactly everything I wanted....with screenshots. I mean she could have just handed it to the dealer and said order this and there would have been no questions. The hard part with the entire order was the ceramic interior. The closest place at the time was Boston and there was no way that was gonna happen. So the wait began.
Finally got word that the blend date was February 1, 2016....so I figured I had about 7-10 days before I got it. Well I was sitting on the couch February 3rd and I started hearing a honking outside. I let it go the first time and after the 3rd I was getting pissed. I walked over to the window and what do I see in front of the house.....MY CAR! My wife was able to surprise me with it and it was perfect.
Of course I already had parts lined up to go on it and some were actually sitting at the house
