the car is in Chicago Illinois and is not registered. He told me since he owns a dealership, he doesn’t had to register the car as it was under dealerships name. Is that true?

this is a scam. run. there are so many red flags here i just can't even. price and miles too low, dealer selling privately, it being in chiraq (lol jab) etc....

It is interesting it is on Autocheck with no records and ford is saying it's invalid. It may be a salvaged car which passed inspection and has been reissued the Vin and Ford removed the Vin once the car was junked.

It's just odd the the FB post is a woman, OP says it's a man who owns a dealership in IL but is selling it privately with a title from Arkansas.

An overall good learning experience I think. For educational purposes only, I'd go see the car. A thorough inspection should reveal even more tells and better your knowledge further still (learning what to look for. what's not right.) As 100% have agreed, do not consider. Do not purchase. I also would not give this individual any personal information whatsoever.

When you go look at it, check the VIN plate on the lower left windshield port to see if it matches.

I feel like this car never left the ford plant or if it did it had another vin and the vin they are using is from a new engine. Original vin might be dirty. I check Arkansas for title status and nothing comes up.
