Thats what they did. But not all the tables carry over. But that was done years ago, which is why you have flex tunes now. Shitty ones, but still flex tunes. Why can't someone just copy and paste the entire flex tune from an F150 and then tweak it for use on a mustang 5.0? Then you would have a true flex tune.
Not all parameters are mapped out, at least with HP. PCMtec has them mapped out but there is a question if all parameters are live in the mustang cal. I know on gen 2 even using PCMtec I still have many parameters that do nothing. Why can't someone just copy and paste the entire flex tune from an F150 and then tweak it for use on a mustang 5.0? I don't understand your rationale for "trusting" the E out of a station but runaway from their 93.given that i have to get E and 93 at 2 spots
Good pointI don't understand your rationale for "trusting" the E out of a station but runaway from their 93.
Fair point. And i did think of that. I guess Im hoping that if it tests around 70% or whatever routinely at least it has the knock resistance. I also read some threads in various places about people feeling there 93 was shitty. Hard to say..I don't understand your rationale for "trusting" the E out of a station but runaway from their 93.
This list may be out of date but have you consulted it for "good" gas of both types being co-resident?

The Caseys 3 miles from me is the closest E85 by far. Theres one at a truck stop type station about 10 miles away. They dont show up on the 93 list though.I don't understand your rationale for "trusting" the E out of a station but runaway from their 93.

You can't tell me you can't find a Casey's across the street from a Conoco or 66The Caseys 3 miles from me is the closest E85 by far.

Also 93 is very uncommon in KC especially on the MO side. Theres a few. But not many. My suburb used to have 0 stations with 93. Now they have 1. There are less than 5 in Independence and less than 5 in Lees Summit. So the combo of one of the 3 stations with E85, and one of the maybe 10 stations with 93 within 15 miles of my house, being close to one another isnt as likely as you would think. You can't tell me you can't find a Casey's across the street from a Conoco or 66
just get an E85 tune. It will also come with a 91/93 octane tune.I guess the next question then is given that i have to get E and 93 at 2 spots will this happen again on the factory tune if i put 13 gallons of 93 in and drive to get 2 gallons of E85…? Or will it mix into both tanks after the E fill?
This is definitely what got him. You won't get a good mix between tanks unless you add the E first when the car is near empty. The transfer is slow between the two. This is normal.
Another problem with the split saddle tanks. Since you didn't top off all your E went into the driver side tank. A flex tune would solve this.
I've never tried adding E without also filling the tank.
Thanks for posting.
