Hey all.
I put my Shelby into a parade over 4th of July and ever since my clutch just seems... off. I was careful to not ride it during the parade, let a space build up before moving forward, let it out while stopped, gave it time to cool off, etc. Start to finish was about a mile and a quarter. I honestly don't feel like I was any rougher on it than a track day or heavy stop and go traffic would be. Everything did get pretty warm though, being it was a hot day and loud noises make children happy.
Observations on the changes in my pedal:
The tension when pushing down the pedal feels lighter than usual (I have the Steeda spring in too).
The engagement seems less aggressive than it was while letting it out and downshifting.
There is a slight stutter when starting out, especially when I first start driving the car.
There is no slipping I can feel under hard acceleration.
If I let the RPM down to idle while rolling and let the clutch back out, it pulls the RPM back up as it should.
No issues changing gear such as grinding under hard load or normally.
I've honestly never smoked or worn a clutch to the point of needing replacement, so I have no idea if I actually did or it's just the placebo effect. I will say as I drive it more, it's starting to feel a little bit more normal. I'd take it to the dealer, but there isn't a dealer within 100 miles of me that I would trust to give me an honest diagnosis, let alone work on my car.
I appreciate any ideas.
