To be honest, with the reliability of Fords delivery estimates, you might as well wait for 2017:headbonk:ETA of my car is just before Christmas. Do you think there will be any merit in waiting another week to get a 2016 registered car? Thinking of resale etc.

I think the only benefit is if ever listing it for sale. It is then definitely a 2016 Ford Mustang, first registered in '16. It's a perception of age thing more than anything else I think.
If by some miracle mine turns up early and is available before January (not due till 2nd week) I'm not sure I could actually hold on.
But will being able to say "2016 Mustang" in the classifieds make it worth slightly more? I'd guess it would be but haven't bought or sold a car in quite a few years, so don't really know. I know with the old registrations (1st August reg only!), people would always state the year as well as the reg as it made a difference. Just wondered if this is still the case? But it would still be on a 65 plate?
If you want a 16 plate then you would have to wait until March 1st surely?
