The GT4 is definitely CPC. That is the first question I asked Jack Roush jr. If you ever get a chance to see it in action at an IMSA event, I highly recommend it. Jack Roush jr seemed like a nice guy and happily answered questions. Shout out to the Roush team. All the little details that go into this car is amazing. I was lucky enough to catch the IMSA event in Austin, Tx at the Circuit of Americas. I hope you don't mind, but here are a couple of pics.

OMG, I can't believe I missed this thread!

Many thanks to the OP ... this made my day, especially after the great weekend Ford had @ Road America.

On a side note, and not to offend anyone with a production GT350, but after researching as a means to purchase, I began to realize something wasn't quite right with the FPC. Talk of oil filters backing out and a host of other ailments made me change my decision. Great car, very unique, but probably not the safest track choice out there for the money.

There is nothing "unsafe" about the GT350, and ADMs and the types of buyers that are paying them, show that they are a great track value for the money.

Really no inside needed. It was never marketed to have used the fpc engine. They claim they are leaving it exclusive to the 350.. which in reality means the fpc was a pita to compete with last year and was hard on components both behind the engine and attached to it. So the current engine is more closely related to the aluminator xs 5.2l crate engine but roush prepped.
Ahhhh ok got it and thank you for clearing that up!
I realize I'm alittle late but shit that red Multimatic 350 is beautiful. I would love to have that at the track. I love my built e92 m3 but that is another level of perfection and beauty. If Ford ever threw a Dual clutch in the 350 and made the car around 3,400lbs. I'd sell everything for it. That would be the ideal track weapon.

That red car is a GT4, not a 350. DCTs are about 100-150lbs heavier than a manual. It would cost $$$ to drop 350lbs off a 350.

I would rather have the Ford engineers develop the Flat Plane Crank engine into a viable race engine than use a CPC engine. Who knows ? , maybe Ford just needed time to develop the FPC engine and the CPC engine is just being used until the FPC engine is durable enough for racing.

I actually misspoke ... I'm more concerned about durability and longevity than safety. I know every engine has its inherit problems, but I personally think a CPC is better suited as an endurance engine. IMO

Does anyone know if there are any differences BoP or otherwise between the GT4's used in PWC GTS version and the IMSA CTSC GS cars? I'm hoping we start seeing more Mustangs in both series, as well as in Europe.

having spent nearly all of my track time on motorcycles, when going around a corner, we look through the turn, past the apex... i find myself doing this in my car in the canyons and have a bit of difficulty seeing around (through lol) the A-pillar... looking at that picture makes me wonder how the driver sees through the turn on right handers with all of those stickers on the windshield. it's already a small enough windshield, i can't imagine those stickers help anything.
