In the middle of a th400 swap and since the pcm will be reflashed to a manual car id like to de pin and get rid of all the 6r80 wires that I won’t need.

Anyone happen to have a diagram showing which pins to remove?

*I am not buying a manual engine harness because I’m up here in Canada and that would be a good $500 by the time it gets here so may aswell just de-pin and remove.

My full TH400 Swap thread is here: https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/threads/16-tt-th400-swap-full-build.210425/

You can buy the motorcraft service access for 72 hours for like $20 if I remember and that will have a nice interactive menu to see the wiring specifically for your vin.

Another option is to find it online like: https://cardiagn.com/ford-mustang-2016-wiring-diagrams-and-component-locations/

Link above is harder to navigate and all engine and trans combinations are shown together so you will have to scroll through a little bit and pay attention to figure out which configuration is yours.

Since you are looking for the GT 6r80 at least for the pcm harness the diagrams you want are towards the bottom of the document.

To add what Triston posted , in trhe wiring diagram you see Y and Z for signal return and vref . They go to a splice , good luck finding unless the harness is laid open . Attached of the rest of the wiring diagram . When you are ready for the back up camera and lights , let me know . I helped @turnswrench and @80FoxCoupe .

Thanks a bunch for the extra info and diagram. I’ll print it out and toss it in the binder. For now I decided I’ll just cut the harness closer to strut tower (besides o2) and seal off the ends. I’m guessing that will be fine right? Next time I have the engine out I’ll revisit this and do the de-pinning.

Sounds like the easiest way to me. De-pining would also mean taking apart the whole harness. I’m not sure if ford twists their harness but if it’s twisted you would have to basically take it all apart as I understand.

Just make sure the wires especially the multi use ones like vref and sigrtn are properly sealed so other things don’t get thrown off

Oh gotcha. Yes when engines out I’ll pull my harness apart and do it properly. Very good will do, thanks for all the input.
