Any vids of the catted dp? Specifically, paired with an aftermarket catback? (mbrp race here)

Is the gut of the cat spun monolith metal or old school Ceramic honeycomb?

Bit of a bump, but I had this installed on my 18 EBP PP a couple days ago.
I have it paired with a MBRP Race catback, cut for a full 3 inch all the way. I'm running Cobb Stg2 OTS.
Other mods for reference: ETSIC, Intake, DVCC, Gutted PCV, 1stepColder Plugs, 100psiCheckValve, and stripes. The stripes add 24HP.

Initial impressions are great.

Nagative/Questionable:
I had someone else install it and he complain that the gasket to the turbo housing seemed "cheap/flimsy" and I should check and tighten the nuts after a few heating cycles... Might not really be an issue. (Can see connection in attached image)
The first two days it smelled more than I expected. I thought the catted ver wouldn't have any smell in the cabin. I didn't see any issues or places it would leak, and today it didn't smell at all - so maybe just a fluke from the install?
It did throw an O2 sensor code at least twice. "P0420 Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold" I have a defouler, but it looks like too tight a fit to pull the sensor while the DP is on, and I really don't want to remove it - so Might just have to deal with it until the custom tune. (Pic of lower sensor in attached img)

Pros:
Great build, and good fit. I was worried it would sag underneath - but it sits where it should.
Admittedly, I hadn't been running the stg2 tune for very long, but there is definitely an increase in power compared to pre-install. Feels like a new car.
Let's talk sound... I wasn't sure what to expect with it being the catted version - but it's beefy. It (along with the MBRP Race catback) definitely made my exhaust louder to the point that I set off 6 car alarms in my parking deck this morning. I like it, despite my wife and neighbors complaints. :)

Again, while it's only been a few days, I'm very happy with the results! Believe the CVF hype. :) Also, while I did get a code from cfv-jason for a forum discount, I picked it up new from a user here that didn't install his. Much appreciation to the forum for the knowledge and buying/trading opportunities.
I'll probably use that code for new CVF IC Pipes.

So you had to custom fit a full 3inch catback? I am looking to get the 3inch DP and read that you could fit it with a full 3inch cat back. Thats what I plan on doing but I want to make sure it will fit on my ecoboost without the headache of having to custom fit it

If you purchase the 3" to 3" connection with the downpipe it will require some custom work to make it 3" all the way through to the exhaust.

The OEM downpipe reduces to a 2.25" band clamp to connect to the y-pipe. The 3" to 2.25" adapter connects to the OEM band clamp without custom work necessary.

Give me a shout via PM if you've got any other questions!

No wonder you thru a code. Get a 90 degree spacer and that will take care of the code. As for noise the MBRP Race is loud, try the street.I like Magnaflow, a little more expensive but my cat back street with my CVF catted downpipe sounds pretty good for a four banger. I have a Vortech full race intercooler and just loaded a Cobb stage 3 and the car just hauls ass all the way past 100. I just started with Ryan at PD for a custom tune.....and then the weather turns to shit so in the garage it stays, no data logging for a bit.

Had the speed shop install the CVF catted down pipe into my 2019 with the Ford Performance Tune. Glad I didn't install it myself. The tech was impressed with the quality of the unit and once installed, it sounded great. On the negative, the connection to the turbo exhaust was difficult and took several adjustments to get it aligned enough to seal. The techs said this was common with all brands at times. One of the joining clamps was different sizes on each side and did not fit. Replaced with a band clamp. Probably a case of not having knowledge of how it is suppose to fit or some other minor issue. The tune was installed with no problems. Without doing before and after dynos, I don't know if I could tell any difference after it finishes learning, but we will see how it does on the track in a few weeks.
