Custom/On3 Single 88mm Turbo

Received my new On3 kit a few weeks back, while it is a nice kit for those wanting to make 600-800whp as it comes it simply is not enough for my setup. Instead we decided to use basically the manifolds and as much of the kit as possible and transform it into a 1500hp capable setup utilizing a VSR 8896 Turbo with a T6 1.32 housing. First thing first we chopped off the T4 flange and fabbed on a T6 flange, We braced the setup as well. The downpipe is changed drastically from the tiny 3" provided to a pretty massive 5"-4" downpipe with some of the provided bumper exit piping still used, Also the intercooler piping from the turbo to the 5inch intercooler was changed drastically as well and enlarged... I have big hopes for this kit as I believe we have created a 7 sec setup for less than $5500 all in granted with a good fabricator and several hours of modification to the original kit.

Should be fine...Definitely still a street car, retained AC and all!

I was at the end of the ropes with that kit, it really was not going to go any faster without 4 into 1 headers, air to water or custom 6" Intercooler etc.. No one has ran faster than mid to low 8s on the top mount hellion kit anyway..

He does what every Hellion Sleeper owner does. Gets rid of it. Got rid of mine and went with Comps Air cooled turbos. No problematic oil lines/tanks to deal with and oh yea no water lines as well. OP good luck with the Big single. Going to be a crazy ride.

I've had 0 issues with my oil lines/tank and I have no water lines with my turbos.

Consider yourself one of the lucky ones. My drivers side turbo oil drain fitting is the lowest point on the turbo hit something on the highway which caused an oil leak could of been a huge problem. Luckily it did not completely come off. Another local on his GT350 hit something which pulled fitting out of his oil capture tank and created a military smoke screen. He is lucky oil did not create a fire. I talked to Hellion about these issues and they just blew me off. So went with the oil less Comp turbos. The Hellion kit in my opinion is a ticking time bomb. I had to do something. Comp saved the day.

Do the comp turbos bolt right up to the rest of the kit or did you have to make modifications?

Bolt right up. Call Comp Turbo and talk Ernie. 909-594-8400 Really nice guy and very helpful. Comp has great with me and all my buds running their turbos. Ernie is very familiar with Hellion guys calling to convert their Precisions to Comp. He will sell ya what ya need.

Same here. The new hellion design keeps the tanks from being the lowest point. No clearance issues.
