Hello, everyone, it has been a while!
I have done this about two months ago but only getting around to posting it. My bro used to have a 2018 GT but sold it for a truck. Which in turn gave me all the parts from his mustang.
I have managed to put on a JLT intake filter and heat shield onto my v6 mustang. with the help of this part https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06VY1R12M/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
The filter is a whopping 5 inches in diameter so I had to use a reducer. the reducer connects to the 5-inch filter and reduces it to 4 inches to fit onto our intake tube which then goes into our 3-inch throttle body. I plan on doing the 80mm throttle body mod but the only issue is finding the correct tubing that'll fit the filter and connect to the 80mm tube. For the most part the install was a breeze, the only hard part was fitting the reducer into both pieces, you definitely need some elbow grease at times I felt the filter would bend lol. When I say its snug it is SNUG. Once on, the filter fits perfectly onto the reducer and is flush with the lip it has.
Sounds great when you rev it and you hear a growl at around 3k and up when I'm on it. Definitely noticeable increase in temp while idling but once your driving the temp drops down dramatically. overall a good mod for around 10 bucks
