If anyone remembers a few months back i crashed my GT350R. I recently got the car completely finished. At first the car was done in mid June but when i went to change the wheels/tires i noticed A LOT of damage on the three brake calipers that weren't replaced so after a bit of back and forth between my body shop and insurance (3 weeks worth) they finally replaced the remaining calipers which added an extra $1300 to the estimate. This was the highest repair my body shop has ever done and we were both surprised All State decided to do the repair with an original estimate of 41k. They told me at 44k the car would be totaled which as you can see went well beyond that figure. I am happy its fixed but at the same time if it were to have been totaled i would have made profit of about 1500 with what they would have paid me for the car after deductible. Here was the total when done before the remaining calipers were also replaced for 1300 and change. I also added all the part numbers and the cost for each one.

I also kept most of the parts that came off the car I currently have all 4 brake calipers, The full cat back exaust, both of the broken wheels, and also some useless stuff im going to throw away like the fender and gas tank. The calipers had a deductible of $50 each and everything else was free to keep. Also the exaust is in amazing condition it just has a minor dent on it the size of a couple quarters.

Hello everyone this is my first thread and its a sad one unfortunately. On Friday the 13th i was passing a truck and lost control when i went to merge back into my lane. Lets just say cup2's plus even mild dampness is incredibly unsafe. Tires had just over 2500 miles on them with very normal driving. I recorded getting the car out of the ditch and if anyone wants to watch here is the link.

Wow, OUCH!! Sorry for you pain.

Hopefully insurance will cover the wheels. Keep us updated, I’m curious what the insurance says about the wheels. I sure the rest will be covered. If you don’t mind saying what insurance company you have it might be helpful to the rest of us GT350R owners to know so we don’t get any surprises.

Major bummer, glad you're OK however, the car can always be fixed or replaced.

How much damage was actually there before your car got pulled out of the ditch? Looks like front and rear bumper got only damaged while pulling the vehicle...

I went up onto an embankment and right before i went air born there was a sizable rock that got caught on the right. It tore off the front passenger wheel liner and side skirt demolished the right wheels and tore the bumpers up pretty bad. When it was sitting in the ditch both bumpers were off on the right side.

They should be doing the appraisal sometime net week. Ill keep you posted. I currently have Allstate and have very good rates for being 27. I only pay 137/month for a 350r. I'm sure that's gonna change though lol.

Glad no one got hurt.

Sorry that happened.

Beware, it’s not just the wetness that can cause lack of traction, it’s the cold too. Even at 45 F , they can be extremely slippery.

Thanks for keeping us posted!

Wow man, that's terrible. At least you're not hurt. You're looking at $15-20k in damage. Make sure the undercarriage is inspected carefully and refrain from starting her up in case the composite oil pan got cracked. Best of luck.

Like I posted the other day, glad you are ok. I have a question, was only the one wheel damaged, or more? If more I suspect the damage bill to be above $30k. All the best on the recovery.
