I know it's a great kit...doubt anyone would argue that. I'm just blown away by how long people are willing to wait for it. 9mo+ lead times are insane to me
LOL. What is insane for you may not be insane for the Balls Out track addict. Thus the long wait exists and CPR is doing what is best for company quality control. Him doing the work.

The fastest 2018 right now is a twin kit by Aldo Welds....his are 4-6 weeks out if they don't have them in stock. Hellion has kits all over the place in stock. Lpf kits are in stock and ready to go. etc etc. This is why people don't want to wait 9-12 months. The only thing making the CPR kit different is that it is a single instead of twins.

I spent the last 6 months trying to talk myself into getting a readily available kit such as a Hellion and after seeing badass results over and over again from CPR I just couldn't do it to save 9 months of waiting. If I put it on my car it is going to be the best I have access to.
Quite excited to have it on my S550 next year, and I don't even track my car . Here's a side by side of the CPR IC core vs one of the readily available kits you can get in 4-6 weeks.

What is the price on the Aldo Welds kit?

Looks like an LPF core. The Hellion is much nicer... From what I can tell, their street sleeper kit is a bargain and includes quality parts.

Last I saw the Aldo kits were around $8k with Precisions. Personally never had luck with the lifespan of Precisions on any platform. I wonder how them being sumped on the Aldo kit affects their life.
You may be right on the IC! That"s another bummer on the twin kits is they use vertical flowing coolers which doesn't allow for much heat exchange with that short of a core.

Just as a copyright warning that is not my car I believe Dustin mocked up the kit on this car and that is an 80mm. Also, do not quote me. The attached picture is with the S197 intercooler, not the newer, larger one. Sorry if nothing I've said is correct
