How easy are painted wheels to fix? Looks like a stone has flicked up and caught the wheel

Ouch......a decent wheel repairer should be able to sort that for somewhere around £60-70 though.

If you want to attempt to fix it yourself i'd advise firstly watching a few video's online and secondly getting the following:

Matching black paint, preferably for a spray gun (And obviously a spray gun).
An enclosed space
Filling Putty
Squigy
Different sandpaper grits.

And basically, use the filling putty to fill the small dent, level it off with sandpaper thus giving the paint something to stick to, squigy to level it off, repeat until smooth.

Please don't be like the ar5ehole that came to fix my older brothers car with white spray paint, did it on the driveway and it ended up spraying all on my window of my car. (Hence why you should do it in a garage/ enclosed space to avoid wind).

If you want it professionally, deffo go for a wheel refurber!

Had that happen on mine, I used matching black auto paint and filled the ding with it, you can only tell when looking for it costed me all of about 7 euro at the parts store for the paint which will come in handy WHEN it happens again.

That's what I've done with black wheels. Not perfect, but better than seeing a bright silver gash .

We've all got this coming to us!

Trust me don't spend the money refurbing the wheel, your gonna get a lot more chips to the wheel. Just get a black paint touch up pen or even black permanent market to hide the silver.

Refurbish in a year or two time when the wheels have a lot more chips in them. ;)

Do you by any chance know of the 'Exploit' for this? Essentially mash your own tyres up, reclaim 4, repeat. Gets the most value out of it (Especially as Pzero's don't come cheap!)

Dealerships usually offer it out as an 'extra' when selling the car, 9/10 times you'll never go through 6 tyres in a year, however 6 Pzeros at base price cost is gonna cost you about £500, and wheel refurbs each time you get a curb slice or chip way into the high hundereds in two years, works out quite well, if you get full value out of this. I'd been offered it from Lookers Ford when i'd bought my old car so I assume most ford dealerships offer it.
